Spilchy- Looks like the Collinite has served you well :xyxthumbs Hmm...I hadn't thought of vacume-sealing it (the #16 already comes that way but not the Collinite).
SergC- Heh heh, well I've used Collinite and I've been in Arizona, but I've never done both at the same time
If you're gonna use a "natural" wax in your hot conditions, Collinite would probably be my choice. It might even cure "hard" enough to resist all the dust (as opposed to that stuff getting baked into your LSP). Reports vary on how carnaubas hold up in the heat and the actual blend of stuff in each product will make for differing performances. Scottwax claims they generally do fine down in Texas but other people say they virtually evaporate right off the car :nixweiss Give it a try and let us know how it works out. It sure won't be any worse than anything else this side of a sealant. If it doesn't work out I bet somebody will buy it off you.
Oh, BTW, I didn't mean for this thread to be a "the sky is falling" :shocked type of post. It's certainly possible that the new versions of these products could be even *better* than the ones we have now. I just decided to stock up on a "known" rather than wait and see what happens and *then* try to find a discontinued product if I don't like the new stuff. Already had that happen when 3M changed their Showcar Paste Wax. I'm just the kinda guy who likes knowing I won't *have* to switch from my old favorites if I don't want to.
