I am thinking about putting sticker in the rear window of my mitsu evo, my only car that I also use for mobile detailing biz. I was wondering what do you guys think:

1) should i put website url and business name only or add my phone number or/and brief description of biz (mobile detail/paint correction etc.)

2) which website to order from?

3) what type of sticker: are they vynils? or other

4) how much should i be expecting to pay?

5) is it a good investment?

sorry for all the question guys but any help would be much apreciated.

Keep it simple-business name, website and phone number.

When I got one done for my old Celica and Accord, I went to Fast Signs and had them make and install the signs. I believe it cost me around $35 for each car, but that was back in the mid-90s.

From one person seeing my sign on the back of my Celica in 1994, between him, his co-workers (weekly customers for a looooong time!) and referrals I've received from all those people, I've probably got $50-75k in business since then just from that one person seeing the sign.

I went and spoke to a few vinyl shops today, tried to get a quote for 2 lines of outlined text and a small single color graphic @ 32"x 12" combined. $150-$200

So I looked online and found doityourselflettering.com, $55 shipped for 3 lines of outlined text.

Going back to the local places tomorrow with the internet quote to see if they will give me a better price. I try to keep my purchases local as often as I can, but a 200% price difference is a bit much. :sadwavey:

I have one on the back of my passat: business name, a white outline of an aston martin, phone number and website. I have made at least $2k off of mine, I would recommend it.

sorry guys I ve been busy detailing those past day.

steve and strutmotors thanks for all the valuable information I am going to check local and internet places.

do you think having just text (website, name) is not enough I need an image too?

I forgot: The vinyl is for my daily driver evo (wing in the back!) just to make sure:

I should put it in the rear window?

update: just went to fastsigns and their price is still $35

for three lines: website, phone, description.

great service and it will be ready tomorow!

the instal was $80!?! so i ll put it myself

i have mine on an xterra...covers the whole back window. cost was 65 installed from a local place in HB. came out perfect....has number twice, website, slogan, company name

its gotten me one direct wash and wax, then that same lady bought a gift cert for her fatehr for fathers day for a full detail on a honda SUV, then its also given me about 5 phone calls, and one guy got out of his car to get a card from me...those people I think were just pricing me out as they never called back (oh, ok, Ill get back to you...lol)

so is it worth it, yep!!!

I just got some 4"x6" static clings made up that say:

Ive Been Detailed By _________

Business Name

Phone Number

Website

On some customers cars I do they are alright with putting small clings like that on there vehicles its great advertisement, I will take a few bucks off there detail if they allow me to put one in there back window.

Ordered last week, got my perforated vinyl at a very competitive price today from houseofgrafix.net - Home :xyxthumbs

strutmotors: have you ever been pulled over for no license plate with that water tank?

When I first got the tank/cargo rack I had the plate where it normally goes in the center of the truck's hatch- not realizing that it was completely obstructed and drove a week like that.

The rack is actually pre-drilled for a plate, it's just not on in the pics.
