Now I have 2 50 footers togeather and they are the cheap yellow ones at wal-mart. They kink real easy and are a pain. Anyone have any info on some good hoses for a good $price$>? THX:)

Costco sells one (around here at least) that's pretty good - it's heavy duty, 50 foot, and is immune to the cold and to most physical beatings. I leave mine out year-round in sub-freezing temps, and it's been just fine. The only downside - it's very heavy, so coiled up, it's a pain to extract and retract - but if you're looking for heavy duty, you won't be able to escape that.

Home Depot sells the same model, albeit for about $10-15 more (Costco sells it's hose for around $20). It's a gray hose, with brass fittings on both ends.

Just get one that is pure rubber. They are normally all black. I know sears has em. I lucked out, a couple years ago this discount place had 50 footers for 11 bucks. These are NICE hoses. They will not kink if they are straight, they are super easy to coil by hand, and they should last a long, long time.

Here is a pic of the type I mean.

I second laynlow's motion. I have the same,(possibly) hose less the brand name . I got mine at a plumbing supply house for $7.50 for a 25 footer, it was a 5/8" contractor's hose. Mine are five years old and get dragged everywhere and have not started to leak yet. Pure rubber stays soft and is less likely to kink. All you will need then is a quick disconnect;)

I use one of these:

And here it is in my garage:

I've since added DI water to the mix...

High Visibility

4-Ply durable rubber/vinyl construction
Reinforced for commercial strength
Ergonomic GettaGrip® coupling (5/8" hose)
Crush-resistant brass couplings (3/4" hose)
10 Year Guarantee

Available in 5/8" diameter in 60' and 110' lengths. Also available in 3/4" diameter in 50', 75' and 100' lengths.

Its made by Teknor/APEX. Pretty difficult to locate this "commerical" grade hose but was well worth the effort. Its large diameter and it flows a lot of water. For rinsing, it's idea. Top quality brass fittings that you can supposedly drive over. I haven't tried that feature yet. This appears to be the same hose Griot's sells for big $$.

...that's the hose reel I run. Made by Suncast. Works pretty well unless using a very heavy hose and then it's a problem.

Okay Bryan, so your Steelers beat my Jets. Blah, blah, blah!
Actually they totally outplayed the Jets in every phase of the game, so I am picking the Steelers.

I could care less really....just want it to be a close action packed game.

Since the Pack are my neighbors I'll have to go with them. Sorry Bryan/Todd. :D

hey

Well, the Steelers are gonna have to play lights out football on defense in the first half and hold on the second half. Scoring as much as they can in the first half too cuz as my good friend Dana says- they like to barely hold on and drive you crazy by the end.

Packers- Score all you can. Establish the run ASAP.
