Stain on Clear Film-A Little Help Please...

Guys I could use some advice.

I washed my car today and it is covered in 3M scotchguard PPF. I have a few yellow stains that I cannot get off totally.

I tried, Bug Squash, diluted and then straight, Prroboys propolish, PO85Rd, 205, SSR2.5, Syn Cut, 105 is slowly-ever so slowly moving it but I have been t it for 2hrs and this one spot is still there. I have 4 more to hit.

I am working by hand simply becasue I do not want to hit too big an area. I have no idea what this is but in addition to these stains i also got my first nick in the front end. I guess it was past the limits of the PPF.

Thanks for any reccommendations.
 
I install these films and think I know what your talking about, I would try machine with medium aggressive polish if that doesnt work use compound. You can really lay into these things if you need to with some common sense. I've even wet sanded them before. You can polish the shine back to them np after compounding or sanding. Good luck let me know if I can help.
 
Thanks, I am going to get my hands on a 3" DA and have at it. What would you start with? 205, 105 and what pad?

I am so upset that I wasted 5 hours on this today by hand and was unsucessful

I would try a white pad first and you can use a 5 or 6 inch one if that doesnt work try orange. Just make sure you tape the edge. And if it's what I'm thinking it is go with 105 first. And just FYI I accedentily dropped laquer thinner on a piece of film on the hood of a lexus and got it out using 2k sand paper a rotary, m105 and 7' red softbuff pad at about 2k rpm. The film is strong my friend just use common sense. And polish the finish like you would paint when your done to get it back to normal. Oh one more thing TAPE THE EDGE :). let me know how it works out for ya

I know what youre talking about. I have had a couple on my film also. Mine stains were from pollen I think. I've used SIP on an orange pad and no negative affect. I know you can use a more aggressive polish or compound because their tech support suggested a 3M compound to me
 
[It was just a lousy day. In addition to not removing the stains it got a nick from a flying rock right on the front end which is covered in clean film. Not sure how to touch up over clear film. And ideas on that would be appreciated.

If the film has been lifted then there isn't any way to fix other than to cut out the portion and replace it with a new price (it will leave a seam and it will be noticeable. The other option would be to have the panel redone.

I'd live with it personally. I've got a couple like this but at least the paint underneath is still in tact. The film did its job
