I just realized I`ll be in Sunny Southern Florida on March 17th.

I`m staying at the "host" Hilton hotel there in West Palm Beach.

Anyone local planning on going out? Feel free to PM me.

I`d really like to do something fun and I`ve never been to Florida as an adult.

I`m ok taking a taxi or uber to a nearby town or whatever if that`s more recommended.

If solo, where should I go?

I know the beach is right there but I`m talking about nightlife for Saint Patty`s Day.

I`m 33. Not looking for South Beach type nightlife just something fun and not filled with 21 year olds, lol.

It will be difficult to be immersed in nightlife without 21 year olds abounding. Like the old saying goes - "When you buy land, you get stones. When you buy fish, you get bones." That is to say, if you want nightlife, 21 year olds come with the territory.

However, for the bar scene - head to Las Olas Blvd for people watching, drinking, etc. It will be really hopping on St. Patrick`s day. There`s a parade in the morning, too.

If you`d like things a bit more laid back - hit up the 15th Street Fisheries Restaurant...it`s right on the intercoastal and is a nice restaurant and bar to spend some time at, that will not have the club/young idiots vibe. Gaze at the multi million dollar boats and houses, and feed the fish under your feet, on the deck. It`s very cool.

For more peace and quiet, head up to the Pelican Grand Resort hotel. They`ve got a restaurant and bar on their back porch that faces the ocean. That would be a nice quiet place to have a few drinks.

Otherwise, you can head up to Boca Raton...to the Mizner Park area. Restaurants, bars, shops, and an outdoor amphitheater. There`s probably some cheese ball 80`s wash-up playing that weekend. This is also a good spot to hang out.

thanks for the advice.. and yes I realize there will be youngsters abound, and it makes me sound like some old man, but I may be the oldest 33 year old I know, ha
