I think Eric just raised the bar on 50/50 shots. Stepped the game up with a before/compound1/compound2/polish pic.

I informed him as I was going, with what we had to work with. and that I would do what I could to help them become less noticeable, but that the were never going to be completely gone without some hard core wetsanding. but then at that point the clear coat wouldn't be able to do it's job being so thin.

Thanks, the tire dressing is some stuff called "New look dressing" from a local product supply company. I love the stuff, last for a really long time and can look really wet or just a little, all depending on how much is applied or how long it dwells.

Thanks Barry,

I noticed that the before side was a lot darker and deeper black then where I had compunded with the cyan pad, and at that point I wandered why? so I decided to add a strip of tape on the edge of the hazy part and use the next step, and then after that step I moved the tape over that area, and did the polishing step, and that picture is what I was left with.

Hope that doesn't confuse you, lol

I love the car and what you have done to it. With a little wetsanding you could have had a 20/20/20/20/20 shot.... just sayin' ;)

Did you end up protecting the soft-top with anything?

Haha, I should have done the 20/20/20/20/20.......i'll save that for the next one. as long as no one beats me to it. :D.

no I offered to treat it with RaggTop fabric treatment but the owner was like.
"If it's raining, I aint driving the car, and if I'm driving the car the top is down" so he didn't want to worry about it. :) seems logical to me :-?
