SRP on Random Orbital

Hi ppl

I am new to this forum and new to a random orbital usage...



I have a few question to ask about usage of srp on a DA



Firstly i always encounter a problem of having white dust flying around while i using the da from the srp...



is it because i did not put enough product or is there anyother solution



i always put an X of srp on my pad for the first use to so called prep the pad



i tried all three meguire sponge pad and still face this prob...

Interesting, I have used SRP with a PC on many occasions and never had any dust problems. Once you have prepped the pad are you then rubbing the pad across the paint before switching the machine on
 
yes i did spread it around it before turning it on... what is your method of using srp on your da? or do you think my speed on da is too high... i put it on speed 4...
 
like to ask... is it necessary to mist the pad with water to prime it? cause i read it from properautocare that srp is best used without qd or water
 
Yeah, don't mix water with SRP. I don't get dusting from it unless I use too much or have some dried SRP left over in the pads from the last time. But some products just dust more than others and I do get more dust from SRP than I do from, say, AIO. Not enough to bother me though...



I too use 4-5 on the PC or I use the Cyclo (~3,800 opms). I use a fairly soft pad (debatable wisdom, that) and I don't work it until it's dry. I wipe it off after it *does* dry with a plush MF and that captures most of the dust.
