Spring Detail

As this is my first post, I just want to say that I have been a silent Autopian for about a year now, and have received a lot of great advice. That being said I do have some more specific questions currently:

I have black and blue vehicles currently, 2004, 2000 respectively... I don't have a PC and as such apply all products by hand. I want to start my detailing this year by:

1. Wash

2. Clay

3. Meg's Cleaner wax

4. Meg's 7

5. PB's EX-P

6. Natty's

My questions pertain to steps 3/4, what I could I substitute that may provide better/more efficient results? As I'm applying by hand I feel that I have a better chance of hiding the swirls/marring then attempting to remove them by hand.

Well your not going to want to apply #7 after a wax or before a cleaner. You also don't want to apply a sealant after a wax so you can leave out a few steps here. I would suggest this:

1. Wash

2. Clay

3. Meg's Cleaner wax

6. Natty's

OR

1. Wash

2. Clay

4. Meg's 7

5. PB's EX-P

6. Natty's

I'd probably suggest the first list because the cleaner wax will help to remove any oxidation and prep the paint.

Since you apparently want to hide the swirls, I would do:

wash

clay

Meg's #9

NXT

Nattys

#9 and NXT both have swirl-hiding capabilities.
