Sprayer for Wheelwells

I find THIS very handy for wheelwells and undercarriages.



Let's see if I can successfully post a pic of it..

Woah, thats a really wierd sprayer. lol. But it does look like it could come in handy, especially for lowered cars with almost no room to work in the wheel wells.

Nifty gizmo; where did you pick it up? My WRX is lowered slightly, just enough to make spraying the wheel wells a pain.

Tort- I got mine from Lee Valley (see link labeled "THIS" in original post). Bill D has seen them at US Plastics, IIRC.
 
I doubled checked the US Plastic site, and now I don't see them :confused: :hm Maybe it was in the catalog or somewhere else entirely :nixweiss

Yeah, it's sorta funny how such a minor thing (the extented nozzle) can make such a big difference. Reaches in there better, keeps cleanser-overspray to a minimum too. I still use a "regular" spray bottle too, each has it's uses.



Only downside is that at the start of each wash it'll take a few pumps to "prime" it, whereas some of my other sprayers don't need that. And the extended nozzle is rigid, so if you're *too* hard on it it'll probably break (but I haven't busted one yet). I bought a few just to have a spare handy (and Accumulatorette promptly appropriated one, for its intended use on plants :D ).
 
It could help. BTW, you should have seen my neighbor's look as I took the car jack and started lifting the car up to give me some room to clean with. She basically shook her head, muttered something and went back into the house.



I need to give the wells some more love tomorrow and add a dressing.

Heh heh, yeah, I keep a floor jack postioned on each side of the wash bay so I can raise them up a little when I need to. The S8 is too low to get my brushes into back of the wheelwells and around the suspension/steering parts.



If you keep the wheelwells very clean (as in, every wash) it's sorta surprising how good they'll look *without* a dressing. I don't bother dressing then on most of our vehicles but they still look quite nice. Yeah, they *do* look better on the S8 (which I *do* dress), but just having spotless wheelwells all the time is a big improvement over a lot of "clean" cars. All a matter of how you want to spend how much time...and I'm spending at least 2 hours on my *quickest* washes as it is :o
