Sponsors?

Since Rupes was recently added to the list of sponsored forums, I was wondering what the difference was in vendor participation etc. between the "Sponsored Forums" section, which includes 3D/High Definition Car Care, Autopia-carcare.com, BlackFireWax.com, Griot's Garage, and Rupes Polishers, versus the "Machine Polishing & Sanding" forum which is sponsored by Flex Power Tools, and the Optimum Polymer Technologies and Poorboy's World sub-forums which are in a different section.

I would guess that if you have a specific question you would post in the manufacture section and they might tend to respond faster as they monitor their area more than others.

It's would ask I be in poor taste to talk about vendor A in vendor Bs forum. General questions about polishing or questions about machines without forums would go in machine polishing.

Do you think the sponsors are really that active promoting their products despite sponsoring the forums?

No, and that's why I was asking--what the sponsors give and get to be in the sections they are. Because most of them don't seem to be too active.

Manufacturers seem more active on European forums.

I never understood why manufacturers don't post here more often. It's free advertising and promotion , and people are more likely to buy stuff if they know they can get their ?s answered.

Agree with Ron - Just a few unfortunately.

When I was involved with the marketing of this forum I tried my hardest to bring on sponsors. And after all that hard work, some (most) didn't even make the time to even participate. Same with DavidB back in the day too. This forum still gets a TON of traffic and I feel is a very viable place for exposure.
