Spirit of Ecstasy - 1922 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost

Great work- there are a very few cars evey made that can stand next to a Rolls. ( especially an old one)

Just a thing of beauty.

Thanks for the show.

Stunning work! I too am speechless. This has to be the coolest detail to ever make the pages of Autopia!!!

Completely agree. I mean stuff like a '55 Thunderbird or a '32 Ford Highboy are cool cars, but nothing like an aluminum panel '22 Rolls! :bow

Absolutely superb detail and write-up. I hope you got paid well for your work because I know that took about half your work week. :)

Words now fail me at the level of your craft as well as the write-up that made it possible to render me speechless. Any words of praise I can muster are dribble and trivial all things considered...but I can't help myself..... That is crazy good work.

Beautiful car and glad to see how you took the time to thoroughly research the vehicle and its history. I would have loved to just see that car in person. A+ job.

Not only was the work excellent, as has already been pointed out, but the write up was also very good, with detailed expanations and photodocumentation. Thank you for making such a coherent and understandable writeup.

Not a lot to say that hasn't already been said. Simply a stunning detail on what ahs to be one of the coolest cars ever.

people post of doing ferraris, lambos, etc...

NOTHING I have seen here comes close to a chance to do that rolls. That is truelly a once in a life kinda oppurtunity. Mad props to you and your friend for taking such good care of a major timepiece of the 20th century. :2thumbs:

Amazing, simply amazing...

That thing is big! In the pic where the Signum is in the background, I thought it was a Renault Clio :D

That is simply amazing!

Personally I'd be scared to death to be near such a rare car like that... you and your partner did a hell of a job!

This simply defies description.......and to have taken the time to document it so well.

You are indeed The Master :bow

Awesome step by step transformation. Thank you for taking the time to share it all with us. I know it took a long time to complete the Rolls, and probably just as long to complete the post!! LOL Thank you again for the great post. Great work on a classic piece of automotive history.

This has to be the best and most difficult detail jobs I've seen on this site! Which says a lot because there have been tons of details on here that amazed me! Great job!!!

Old thread, but I can not believe this ....to get a chance to work on a car like this, is unbelievable....The leather was probably an easy choice to say 'leave it alone' considering 86 yrs on original leather.

As for the aluminum, it is stunning, however I am surprised that the owner did not ask for 100% perfection. It would have give this masterpiece a finish worthy of it's designers and engineers.

However, the 90% correction and great glossy looks are amazing none the less! Fantastic job restraining yourselves and putting in an effort the original RR builders would have appreciated some 86 odd years later.

Wow...what a car...
