spilled soda cleaning?

like an idiot i spilled some soda in the back seat of my friend's car. he doesn't seem to care that much about it, but i think i have to atleast try to make it right. I figure i'd atleast clean out the soda and the rest of his seats (and possibly the rest of the interior too).

Anyways he's got black/gray cloth seats.

Whats the best way to go about cleaning these? Products? Techniques? Tools?

I currently don't have any car cloth seat cleaning materials (other than the standard dry handheld vacuum), so I'll probably have to buy everything (which is okay with me so long as i can use it in the future).

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Bissell Little Green Clean Machine that I use for shampooing the car as well as cleaning up spots on the carpet in my house. It has been a handy tool. There are definitely cheaper ways to get the spots out such as some of the foam cleansers, but if you have a need for it other places, the Bissell is a good one.
