I just got a 2002 Blazer Xtreme yesterday and it is victory red...i want to throw a coat of carnauba on it and am wondering what method you all would recommend...I have a 7" random orbital that I could use but I think I should probably just do this one by hand since the finish is pristine!!! all opinions welcome!!!

Using a machine to apply carnauba is wasteful IMO but it can be done quicker than by hand if you don't count time spent washing the pad.

If you don't want to put any synthetics on or clay yet, just throw some glaze (Meguiars #7 or BodyShopProfessional Hand Polish, also 3M Imperial Hand Glaze, they are glazes that will make your wax look better. Apply by hand, work until nearly clear, buff excess.)

Then pop some carnauba on it and cruise around town!

I have to agree with that advice. Some of the best carnubas you can't apply by buffer very easy anyway. When its in a can it gets sort of hard to put it on the buffer. ;) Get a can of Souveran or Blitz and have at it. A new vehicle will look really good all waxed up. :xyxthumbs

I definitely like the Blitz or Souveran suggestion. Both of these carnaubas are much better than waxes you can find at your local auto parts store. If durability is a factor, then use Souveran more regularly or just get the Blitz as its very durable for a carnauba. Laters

I PM'd this guy and told him "You are getting clipped......." , and it took until the next morning(Haha....with the quickness as promised).

I cannot fathom how some of these people come up with the usernames??, some are pretty creative though......but annoying.
