Souveran Wax at $39.95 for 8oz

I may be wrong, but I think the P21S jar is only 6.2 oz. vs Souveran @ 8 oz.



Also, I think I know Terry (CMA) well enough that if you call they will price match the Souveran.

Ugh! Just as my car is in the body shop (hail damage and accident = $750 in repairs) and my computer is on the verge of breaking (need new HDs possibly mobo/cpu and some software (can't pass up visual studio.net at 10% the retail price)) a new product becomes availible that i'll just have to buy to try. I've really been looking for a new polish. 3M FI-II works great but is really difficult to buff of for me for some wierd reason. Is this the stuff that you mentioned in a post a while back that CMA was going to carry specifically for the 'orange power pads'?

Great deal --- FWIW, I use P21S on my Silver and Pewter cars and Souveran on my black cars. I found the Souveran darkens a bit on Silver...:nixweiss
 
the website that gives free shiiping is ********.net. they also make a oil in water sealant call detailers pride premium paint sealant that was 10.00 an i tries it and like it smelled like bubble gum looked l,went on easy came off easy. look good like platium or blackfire,bonds over prowax satin creme and klasse s.g.
 
Good price for Souveran, but I can pick up two jars of S100 and a bottle of S100 SEPC for the same price.



I've used both Souveran and S100 and to be honest, the only edge appearance-wise for Souveran is a slightly deeper look on black. Other than that, I think S100 looks better, especially on metallics-the color seems to have more pop to it. S100 seems to look better on silvers and golds and makes white look wetter.



S100 also seems to bead longer, normally when I was my regulars cars (usually every 2 months), both Souveran and S100 are beading, but the beads with S100 seem a bit tighter and the paint feels a bit slicker. If you wax every 6 weeks or so, you probably wouldn't notice the difference.



Ease of use seems to be a wash for me. Both wipe on and off effortlessly and I can get 40-50 wax jobs out of either one.



If you have a black car, Souveran may be worth the extra money, but even though Souveran makes black look a tad deeper, S100 seems to give black an almost 'silvery glow'; Intermezzo says it makes black look like it is covered in liquid mercury. On any other color and especially metallics, I'd go with S100/P21S.

Sounds like you are using too much S100 when you are waxing (unless you have an Excursion). I got 48 wax jobs out of my last jar of S100, and that included everything from Civics to Excursions, Suburbans and F-250s.



The only time I tend to use too much S100 is on silver cars because it dries so clear you can barely see it and tend to go back over already waxed areas.

I use Souveran and P21S on both my garage queens ( MB & Porsche ) and, if money is not an object, I would definately recommend to buy the Souveran.It is hard to discribe, but You will see, that the Souveran will make the paint look darker, deeper with a little of that "pop"that You have been experiencing with "Super Shine..."It is one of ...must have products for garaged cars:up

I use both Souveran and s100. Both waxes are great but I noticed that it depends on what color your waxing. So I did a test. I got different cars and waxed one side with Souveran and the other side with s100, here are my results:



Red Dodge Dakota: Souveran made the red glow, wetter and deeper looking.



Silver Bmw: S100 gave it a better shine and more of a "pop"



Black MB: Souveran made it look a little deeper and wetter



Tan Camry: S100 gave it a better shine



Dark Blue Metalic Honda Civic: s100 made the metalic stand out better.



INMO Souveran seemed to work a little better on Dark colors like Black and Red's while S100 looked better on light color like silver . They are in my opinion THE BEST WAXES MONEY CAN BUY!!!

I say go ahead and buy and do your own test. Find the one you like better. Isnt that what its all about?

I agree with most of you, that you can't go wrong wiith having both products in your fridge.

For myself I find that P21S lasts 3 to 4 weeks. Souveran lasts 4 to 5 weeks, but give me the best and deepest shine, and Blitz can last 6 to 8 weeks. But be careful with the One Grand Blitz, it will leave that white residue on your trim. Apply carefully.



I use different products during different times of the year. Souveran after the spring polishing and cleaning for the best shine. P21S for a quick touch up or a 1/2 hours quick wax, and the Blitz for a harder shine under harsher conditions. For example when there is a lot of pollen in the air.



After all,isn't half the fun of detailing using different products, under different conditions, and getting different results? Trying all the latest and newest is just part of this great addiction we call detailing. Enjoy!

Not likely. With years of experience using Blitz you become an expert on applying thin coats of wax because Blitz punishes you with unreal amounts of residue if you apply it too heavily. :rolleyes:



I was just guessing at the number of times I used S100, based on how long I've had it. I wax my car so much, I loose track. For me waxing my car is better than sex, well almost. :D
