Sonus SFX polishes or something new?

I am going to be ordering some polishes. I currently have really only used the Sonus SFX-1, 2 and 3 along with the Sonus SFX 1-3 pads.

Question is - should I switch? Try something new? I'd like something that will work with the pads I have and maybe buy a couple more if needed.

Basically I remove scratches, holograms, etc. from my own cars. I've read about the 105/205 and alot of others. I've also read where people are switching off from the Sonus products.

I have the 2006 version of the 7424.

Thanks all - any and all feedback is welcome. I'd like to place an order in a day or so. My 2008 black silverado crew cab suffered a long hard winter (there's another thead on that) and I have a black 2009 fusion.

Id really suggest the 105/205. You can get the samplers from ADS if you dont wanna buy a whole jug of the stuff right off.

I also use PB SSR2.5/SSR1 with some sucess. They are nice and cheap and get the job done.

Sonus polishes are filler filled if you ask me. I have been using them only because I am tyring to use the last of my supply. It isn't glaze like filling, but there is some.

Don't get me wrong, they will correct, but the end result if decieving. It fills so you will need to definately do a wash to check your progress.

What I do like about sonus polish is that it is low dusting and has a relatively long hang time.

I agree - it looks great and then a few days later "things" show up. What do you normally buy now?

IF you switch from the Sonus polishes I would think about staying with the pads. I think the yellow Sonus pad is one of the best all around pad on the market. They also work great with the 105 and 205 polishes.

That was going to be my next question - I have these pads:

SFX-1 (6" version)

SFX-2 (6" version)

SFX-3 (6" version)

SFX-2 (5" version)

SFX-3 (5" version)

I was curious if I would need to purchase different pads. I like the pads alot... but that is all i have really used.

Which pad would you use for the 105 (SFX-1 or SFX-2) and which for the 205 (SFX-2 or SFX-3)?

Thanks for the reply!

Yes, the sonus pads are great! Just the polish leaves something to be desired.
