I know that this Sonus is the product for Autopia but really how do they stack up compared to other brands? Especially the SFX product line. I am very impressed by the towels carried here but what about the polishes and swirl removers? Please be honest I am considering buying the SFX line and the swirl buster products. I will be using all with a PC

I've used a few Sonus products in the past, I like them. But, unfortunately, the price has gone up on them and I don't think they're worth it now (most of them have gone up like $3-$4). But the stuff I've used and how I like it is as follows:

SFX PC Pads - awful. Impossible to clean, and started falling apart after like 3 uses

SFX-3 Final Finish Polish - Good stuff, didn't amaze me though, little tough to remove (but I have the older kind, I guess they re-did it a bit and now it's a little more user friendly)

Cockpit Detailer - LOVE this stuff

Total Eclipse - Love it

Ultra-Fine clay - good stuff

Der Wunder Wasche - Good stuff

Polishing Towels (the green ones) - love em, my favorite towels

Ultimate Drying and Der Wunder Drying towels - excellent

The prices being raised though really dissapointed me, because I liked using the stuff, but now I can't justify buying it now. Plus the elimination of the coupon code that gave 15% off the Sonus products, just did it for me.

SFX polishes- fine for soft paint. SFX-1 disappointed me though. Sonus claims that you are suposed to use the with a PC, now i tired SFX-1 with an orange DAS pad, on a black 06 BMW 3 series and make a tiny dent in the marring. I love SFX-2 and SFX-3.

I use the car wash, and i think that it is amazing as far as cleaning power and results go. One drawback is that it is expensive.

For polishing I used to use the DAS pads- they blow. nothing else to say.

Fine clay- hate it.

I love the Sonus products for the interior. Especailly the leather cleaner and conditioner. The cockpit detailer works great too.

I also use the Sonus Der Wunder Wash mitt, and i love it. It holds suds extremely nicely and washes free of dirt in no time.

Here are my thoughts on the Sonus line. When I got started a few months ago, I pretty much ordered the entire Sonus catalog. Now that I've had the chance to use the products, and a chance to use a comparable product, I'll give you my dos pesos.

SFX-1 - It's supposed to be their most aggressive polish...Isn't very aggressive at all. Switched over to SIP and IP. The difference is night and day.

SFX-2 & SFX-3 - These two are pretty good, especially the SFX-3. SFX-3 is a nice finishing polish, but pricey.

SFX Pads - I don't really like them at all. Switched over to LC CCS pads....HUGE improvement.

Sonus Towels - Like the OP mentioned, these are great. No complaints at all...especially with the Sonus WW.

Sonus Wash Mitts - No complaints here. Although, when it's time to reorder, I'll probably try something different.

Sonus Interior Products: Total Eclipse, Cockpit Detailer, Leather/Vinyl Cleaner and their leather conditioner are all solid products. Again, they're a bit on the expensive side.

Sonus Rim Bright - A very mild wheel cleaner. I prefer P21S Wheel Cleaner.

Sonus Ultra-Fine Clay - Personally, I like it. BUT, I've only had experience with two different brands of clay. Sonus and the generic Megs clay (JUNK).

Sonus Bumper/Tire Gel Dressing - Good stuff, especially when used over the Total Eclipse on tires.

Sonus Der Wunder Wasche - No complaints, but again, this is the only speciality MF wash I've used.

Sonus Gloss Shampoo - I'm not that impressed with this. It seems to have a decent amount of lubricity, but the suds just don't seem to last in my bucket.

I hope this helps. Overall, I think their products are ok...some better than others. Also, they are a bit overpriced.

It says right on the bottle it's a very low sud car wash. I like the car wash, and the car does look nice when you're done, but I prefer having lots of suds. So I wont say the product isn't good, it's good, but it just depends on your preference. I'll second though that a lot of the stuff is a bit overpriced. I thought it was a little pricey when all the Sonus stuff was about $12/ea, now they're pretty much all $15/ea.

It does???? Hmm...I did not know that. Guess I should actually learn how to read. :chuckle:
