SONUS Coating

I like the way this coating differs from the rest...its applied like a wowo sealant or wax....allowing it to haze which tells you when its ready to remove and you can't possibly miss any spots or over apply it which plagues other coating applications. And the price is ridiculously affordable. Nice play Sonus.

For folks wanting to get/use this product, I recommend to apply on your paint using thin coats.

If i didn't have sooo many LSP's right now I would love to give this a go. I've been eye balling it ever since Sonus offered it on their website.

Yes indeed, with so many products to get one has to be running a business or just got the dinero to justify in spending on so many products to try out.

Thank you all, once you accomplish the work needed on the paint finish, it's a piece of cake in maintaining it down the road. As far as I say about this product, it's a thumbs up in my book.

Awesome to hear! As a fan (and pseudo detailing historian) its great to see Sonus coming out with new and exciting products.

I just applied Sonus ION Paint Coating - This is a newbie friendly easy on/easy off product.

This was a easy application and even easier removal compared to many products I've used.
Sonus ION calls itself a paint coating but it behaves like a sealant for application & removal.

Apply like a liquid wax Apply all the way around the vehicle in shade. (No hurry, No worry)
Allow to haze for 30 minutes. Relax, sit back & enjoy a cold beverage while you're waiting.
Wipe it off. It is a pleasure removing ION with a Microfiber Madness Yellow Fellow 2.0 towel.

Manufacturer states:
"A second coat can be applied after four hours, if desired. Wait 30 minutes and remove."

If you're like me that's a flat out invitation..."Biff, I want to make sure that we get two coats..."

Manufacturer claims:
"A bright, crisp, clear, wet-looking, high-gloss shine while providing up to a year of protection!"

So far, it has a nice shiny look and a slick feel. It is very bright and vivid and the metallic pops.

50/50 hood test Coli 845 on passenger side. Sonus Ion on Drivers side.

I have tried this a few weeks ago as well. It went on and off easily. It is on my neighbors car, so I can monitor the longevity a little better.

We had lots of rain over the 4th weekend, but the beading still looked nice on the neighbors car.

It was perfect weather in Virginia over the last 4 days after a brief storm on Thurs pm. The air was cool and able to wash two cars and not immediately rain.

How is this holding up?

I did mine a week ago Coli 845 (L) and Sonus ION (R).
It rained pretty hard constantly for the last four-five days.
Today, the Sonus ION side repels water better and feels slicker.

Final Report, I'm very happy with the Sonus Coating product, still with all this heavy rain we been having for the past 3 weeks it still beads like the day it first got rain on. Anyone looking for a bang for the buck product I recommend this one to everyone.
