Sonix Pads

Hello everyone, I was able to use my pc polisher with the sonix kit today and didnt have much success with the middle grade pad with my meguairs paint cleaner and polisher. It seems to rub off bits and pieces of the pad. Am I doing something wrong? I was also using the #2 setting since I am new to this, and didnt think Im ready to go any faster yet.
 
Were you hitting trim pieces like emblems or going over the edges to cause the pad to catch and tar off pieces ?
 
I just used it on the hood, and it seems like the little chunks came off within a few seconds. Well at least my finishing pad didnt do that with my gold class wax but I was dissapointed that I had to use the paint cleaner and polish by hand :hairpull
