Something Seriously Wrong

Nah - When I was a heavy commuter, I saw people reading the papers, putting on makeup, drinking coffe/smoking/reading at the same time. Even saw a few things that are unmentionable on DC. At least this frees up their hands so they can more safely read-while-they-drive. :)

It's just getting plain scary how many distractions people have to choose from while they should be driving. I just hope auto-pilot cars are in the works for the near future, then we don't have to worry about it anymore!
 
i just don't quite understand who was driving along and said, " Gee wouldn't it be great to read my kindle while I'm flying down the road" ....

.... and would your passenger be so lazy that they need something to hold this 4oz device while sitting there doing nothing?

It's bad enough for the people who think they can talk on the phone and drive...Broadcast message...you can't! After passing countless talking/texting drivers who must have thought they were tasked with leading a parade, I've seriously considered having signs made up...SHUT UP! HANG UP! DRIVE!

Doing stupid things faster. Technology just gives more opportunity to screw up. It is not like in olden days,
 
If texting and driving is illegal, and is an offense that you can be pulled over for, I see this having the same fate. Good luck driving by any decent state trooper and plan on getting away with it.
 
Well here's another topic for there's "Something Seriously Wrong"

I just saw on FOX News that 1/3 of all homeless men are Veterans ... and the number is expected to seriously rise as troops are being brought back home from the Middle East ...

The VA system is outdated and not equipped to handle the problems, mostly health and addiction...

Is this how we treat the people that defend us?
 
Heck, we wouldn't want to take care of our soldiers as well as we take care of the undocumented population. Steve's right, something is seriously wrong with the way we treat our Vets.
