Something magical about RED!

I love red cars.......especially Ferrari and Porsche red:) So what comes my way the other day.....a RED single stage Honda S2000.

I only detail one other Honda and that is an NSX and let me tell ya this car was a wreck, inside and out. Very neglected paint and every nook and cranny in the interior had grime and years of pollen collecting in all those hide-a-way spots.

Here are a few BEFORE shots

First one is the marred hood

After claying the paint I machine buffed it with an orange pad and Menzerna Powergloss.

Menzerna IP was next with a polishing pad

Menzerna FP with a finishing pad

AIO by hand

Menzerna FMJ to seal it

The results:

As always Mr. Orosco a fantastic job. That window looks new. What did you use on it?

I tested an area of the car with a carnauba topper but the FMJ doesn't like to be topped. The wax just seems to "float" on top and is tough to buff off.

This is a shot of the trunk lid

Thank you sir :)

I used Novus #2 and then rubbed the heck out of it with VM:cool

Awesome as usual. Glad you pointed out the situation with topping FMJ with a carnuba. I had a similar experience, but assumed it was because I was doing something wrong. Your comment hasn't ruled that out, but at least I know there could be some compatibilty problems.

Hey Anthony - beautiful!! - curious - I thought the s2000 was a fairly new car model..single stage paint and years of grime>?? what year was it?

Awesome Job Anthony!!! Can you tell me more about Menzerna IP, FP and FMJ. Where do you get it? Also by machine what do you mean, PC, Cylo or Rotary? I would have started out with a rotary on it.

Awesome Job again!

Gawd is it 2004 already:) ? interesting a 2000 S2000 and it has single stage? -

I'm curious is their advantages to Single stage over Clear Coated?? or is it strictly an automotive purist thing>?
