Something fishy about the logon at Meg's forum dot com?

We may use the same software for the board, but DC isn't hosted out of Dwayne's garage. David does his own hosting and is more open to attack than we are I guess. :dunno

Someone was bored and found Autopia before DC.. Doesn't necessarily have to do with where the servers are physically located when it comes to a network based attack.

Or maybe they found both sites, and thought that going after Autopia presented a larger audience for them.. 2500 members here vs. 17000 there. They also managed to (perhaps a coincidence? MOL has had problems recently) affect a site belonging to a decent sized American corporation.

Regardless, it doesn't impress me any, and just shows that everyone needs to take security seriously.

It was definitely hacked. I was lurking on Autopia last night when the incident occurred. Someone replaced the banner ad section at the top of each page with a rather disturbing video. :nono

Meg's online is hosted by David B (of Autopia), so it could be a hack to the servers which gained access to all pages hosted by David. (Autopia and Meg's online)

Their store was still up though and the lexus car care one they host was too; I was price shopping last night and was surprised. The problem was made worse because David had reserve duty Friday & Saturday and nothing got backed up...they had to revert back to Wednesday's backup tape.
