Some thoughts about MF Towels

It seems like all talk about cheaper towels is they will scratch the paint.

I have noticed another problem with them.
I bought a few Turtle Wax towels that were before the new TW Ice towels that are a decent towel but the older and cheaper ones are OK for removing polish they do not scratch but they don't work well for removing a QD because the will not absorb liquid.
The design of these towels just do not absorb well.

Different "ratios" towels do absorb better or worse than others - at least in my findings. Back when you could get a tag on the towel, you could tell if they were 80/20, 70/30, etc.

I am hooked on the expensive towels from PB but I have a few hundred cheap towels that have their place too. The cheap ones I bought at Family Dollar do absorb liquid well and I did not notice any scratching on the last black car I detailed.

Well the cheap towels are OK for a lot of jobs, My daughter bought me some from Sam's Club 18 towels for 10 bucks and they are not all that bad I use them for a lot of different things.

My favorites are from Pakshak and Fiber works.
You can not judge by price I bought from a well known place some expensive towels that are not nearly as good as those from Sam's Club.

If you find a towel and dealer that is reliable stick with them you will be better off in the long run.

Edit Fiber Works no longer carries the good towel that I liked they say they are no longer available. :wall
