Some success with coupons

I was offered a deal I couldn't pass on. One of the leading coupon magazines offered me a $300 price for a half page. mailing reaches out to 15,000 homes. I got about 6 jobs from it so far, been about a week since it hit the mailboxes. I think it would be better for me in the winter when things are slow. I did a $25 off a full detail, $15 off any other service, and $5 off any product order over $25. Gary

Gary,

One thing that I really admire about you is that you are always coming up with ways to improve your business and then you come here and shareing your ideas.

Hopefully this will bring you lots of business.

Thank you.

I advertise in something called "The Braintree Advertiser." It sounds similar to what you used, basically a 6 page newspaper type deal with advertisements. It comes out bi-weekly and it usually pays for itself (save for last time) so I've been pretty happy with it. I don't usually include discounts though, and it still pays off.

I've found that marketing in the Winter doesn't really pay off because there is no demand. However advertising such as flyers and direct mailings work really well in the spring and summer because you still get calls for months from one mailing.

I don't have a copy saved in my computer, sorry. I should of thought of that for you guys though. If I can get the sales person to e mail it to me, I'll send it on. Gary

I wonder how much those coupon book people make? I bet they make a lot.

Good luck with the coupons and I will be looking foward to seeing how much business you get from it. Maybe something I do in the future.
