Some recommendations for bulk detailing

Hey guys, 1st post here.



I'm planning on starting a side gig come Spring. I plan on doing 10-15 cars per month and have been researching products for the past month.



I plan on getting the PC 7424 and XMT polishing compounds, Poorboy's or duragloss sealant, and a nice carnauba wax. All this will be for practicing, and getting use to the machine.



XMT is not really a great choice when it comes down to product cost. I've been looking at the optimum line up for polishing compounds because they can come in a 32 oz. container.



What are some good and effective compounds and sealants that are used for bulk detailing?



NOTE: Most will be mobile detailing so the compounds and sealants should be in cooperation with direct sunlight.

I have heard that detailers pride from autogeek is a wicked line of products. They come in larger sizes so i don thtink its a common brand. I haven tried it yet but I want to try it soon. It mightbe worth a shot

I've totally overlooked them.



My biggest problem is trying to figure out what customers want?



I plan on offering swirl removal/paint restoration. And then their choice of a sealant or carnauba, or both.



I'm trying to find a great sealant for a good price. I'm not really keen on all in one products, I feel a product that is directed towards one area is going to be better quality usually. So I plan on using 2 different compounds (depending on car) and then follow this with a sealant. (This would be my base package). They can have the option to use a carnauba instead of a sealant. Or they can have a carnauba topper after the sealant, so I need something that can cure instantly.



I'm trying to avoid excessive spending and trying to get what's the best bang for the buck right away.

Cheap and effective. Half the other brands mentioned here are most likely relabeled stuff anyway with a mark up.

Agreed. In addition to how well the Optimum polishes work, they fact that they don't dust makes clean-up easier. Megiuar's Detailer line has a lot of quality products in it.

X2, I use the same lineup, aside from other specialty products.
