Some Q's regarding QEW

What about spraying the car down with PB S&W then going straight to QEW while the S&W is still on the car. Would that make it super lubed?

Just a thought

Yeah, the second pass is a quick one that gets more of the dirt off before you hit it with towels. You don't have to rinse as often as the first pass anyway since it isn't getting as dirty.

Thanks Scott! Looks awesome.

HI-Jack----- Thanks :) yours is lookin good too, now I just have to get rid of the chrome piece on the front of the car.

back to regularly scheduled show...

I have not had any adverse reactions using qew.

I have not seen a list of stuff that can be used under each coat of Z...looks like you have a lot of products to buy and test out :D

I know there are many different QEW techniques, and maybe mine is common, but here it is. Two buckets, 1 gallon w/QEW in each, 2 MF, One MF towel, 1 bottle of WAUD. When I make a pass with the MF, if on a side panel/door etc, I have it folded twice over, flat in my hand, put at the highest point on the panel, and let the MF slide down the panel with just enough pressure to hold it against the panel. I then move to the next "swipe" area and proceed. As I do this, I can look at the LEADING edge of the MF, and that is where all the dirt is being picked up, not under my hand....it is really wierd, but very effective. I'll turn the MF as needed, but can always do a panel with one before rinsing and switching to the second MF, changing after each panel

If I have some dried on dirt/rain spray, I will pre-soak the panel to soften, but 9 out of 10 times, I don't. I then spray the WAUD on the panel just washed, then with my MF towel, I dry and WAX at the same time......what an awesome gloss maintenance step. I do an F350 crew cab, dually 4X4 in 60 mins or less. No mess, no marring.....Oh yeah.....it is BLACK. I will get some pics up soon.

What do you do about road salt/sand? If it's caked on, do you simply pre soak it with a heavy QEW spray for a few minutes, lightly remove it with a QEW soaked mitt, then go back over that panel with a second QEW soaked mitt, removing and doing a final cleaning?

This stuff sounds pretty cool so I'll have to give it a try!

If it looks really nasty. I might spray some qew on to make myself feel better about it. You would be surprised what QEW can take off without marring. You just have to remember it is not quick and easy scrub-hard-to-get-the-stuff-off-faster, it is quick and easy wash.
