I seem to have perfected my technique for carnauba application with regards to P21S, Souveran, and Nattys. These may be obvious but I thought I would share them anyway:
1. Prep: wash, clay, polish, AIO if your prefer.
2. Application: I am using exclusively the ultrafine PakShak applicator. I find that this is soft enough to mold to one's hand and really spreads the wax out as think as possible. I use a back and forth straight line motion trying to follow the path of air over the car. I think the MF does a better job than foam applicators.
3. Removal: I like Patrick's Excel Detail orange MF towels. They seem to be grippy enough to remove the most wax residue but soft enough for feel. The similar Sonus product works well also.
4. Follow-up: I like to use EI Clear Pearl or Crystal Mist as a QD after waiting about 12-24 hours. These have carnauba in them that I find really extends the life of the wax. The Mist in particular seems more like a booster product.
Again, this may all be obvious but sometimes its the fine details that add value.
