Some of what I've been up too.......

Hello, everybody!

Just yesterday I finished 4's SG layer (each applied w/weekly intervals) on the top of AIOx2, and to my very unpleasant surprise I discovered very light swirls on the hood- some of which appeared while buffing off SG with Viper MF Towels using Mequiar's FI.

Am I using to much pressure buffing ? Or could it be some other reason ? (soft clear on the Bimmer paint ?).

Appreciate your input in advance, laters!

If they were not, then the marring is in the Klasse, it was not totally cured when you preformed the wipe off.

Just reapply a light coat, let it cure, use a soft towel,(won't get into which is a better towel, too contraversial).

One tip that may help you, fold the wipe off towel into a "pad" so you have nice soft even pressure when removing.

Although the SG recommends doing one panel or section at a time, I have found that leaving the SG on a little longer helps and it's still pretty easy to remove. I have better luck removing SG with a cotton towel, like the Koala soft, than the Mircle towel, I not sure why.

try distilled water instrad of Meguiars QD.

I put on a very thick coat of Klasse SG onto my red BMW M coupe (model car) and let it sit for 15+ hours. I then sprayed a little bit of distilled water on it and took a MF towel to buff it off. It came off really easy, no extrenuous buffing. As for swirls, there were none, but micro maring of the surface, yes, due to the cheapo MF towel. I will use a MT next time or a Charisma.

Just my 2 cents,

Jason

Totally agree. As long as you apply thin coats of the SG, you can let it sit for hours and it will still be easy to buff out. Also, never use cheap microfiber towels on your paint. Stick to Miracle Towels or neatitems towels. Laters.

Here are a few of the 100+ vehicles I've done over the last 6 months.
All were compounded with 105 and polished out with Meg's D-151 and then topped with Meg's Ultimate Quick Wax.

Nice work Justin, now that winter is coming maybe post some with some type of write up's, still see you have that shop you have mention awhile back.

Yeah I've tried to stay busy. Just got kind of burnt out on doing write ups. I did about 150 one year!!!

Oh yeah, I dress the tires with Meguiar's Endurance. Best bang for the buck. I use LC's dressing applicator. I use a Tupperware container to keep it fresh and loaded with product.
