Some Nice Reflections...

Here's a pic I took yesterday at the Raymore Festival Car Show, after a fresh coat of Z2.

(I also managed to win 1st in Class.):D

....and..........it was HOT out there!!!

If you look closely you can see a light blue '57 T-Bird that was next to me.

(And, yes, it gets driven every day.)

Here's the engine....it's the Oh-My-Gosh Factor....

Looking good!! :xyxthumbs Couple of questions:

Did you paint that bottom part of the back bumper the champagne/gold color? Was it originally black, or was it gray plastic or something?

What's that yellow hose running from inside the trunk to the trunklid?

Luster, as a fellow GP owner I'm jealous! Car looks fantastic! Aurora40 Bet the yellow tube is the wire harness to the trunk release. :xyxthumbs

Jesus H Christ! That engine looks as if you removed each piece and hand polished them! The rest of the exterior finish is perfect!

Very nice and congrats as this is a winner!

Regards,

Deanski

Thanks everyone for the props!

Yes, I painted the lower front and rear "facia" to a lighter color because I wanted some contrast against the black paint. The original color was dark gray and there was hardly any difference between that and the black. (I'm a contrast guy!)

The yellow is wire loom for the trunk release.

Luster, I continue to be in awe at how gorgeous you keep that engine! :bow And congrats on another win!

^^ What Lynn said!! I had no idea what was under the hood! That looks outstanding!! :up :up

The only critisism I could say about that car is its 2 Cylinders short.;) Other than that, its pretty much perfect.:xyxthumbs

Are those colourful engine braces stock? (I know the colour isn't) But is that a mod or are they from factory. We don't get pontiacs here.:nixweiss

Edit: I was referring to the 2 little ones in front. But you can tell me about the 2 long side ones as well as the rear one. Are all 5 stock?

The two fender braces are stock, the strut tower brace is stock on a Buick Regal GS. I purchased ths STB's from a Buick dealer for the front and rear for $34 total. (Painted them red, of course!)

Luster,

I can't seem to get enough of your engine shots.

beautiful job!

You should send pictures of your car to the Marketing Director or VP of Marketing for Pontiac. I'm sure they would love to see it.
