Some help in deciding detailing process

Hello,

I have been going through countless threads in hopes of finding good information. Both luckily and unluckily for me these forums are filled with it. So, I have been reading forums constantly for the last week straight. I have finally gotten to the point where I know somewhat know what everything is.

As I am only beginning and don't really have all the much experience with detailing. I've been researching what I feel is best of each product for myself. I don't think I should be further complicating things for myself by buying 5 different types of glaze, wax, etc.

I have landed on two options :

Going with SRP -> CG EZ Creme Glaze -> FK 1000P -> FK Pink Wax (Maybe) -> Topped with FK 425

or

FK 215 -> 2180 -> 1000 -> Pink Wax (Possibly) -> 425

Should I consider throwing in FK 300/3 glaze in there somewhere or is that a waste?

I will be doing all of the applications by hand. I don't really feel comfortable enough to jump into using machines yest :nervous:. I know SRP goes on well by hand also but I am not sure about the FK products. I have researched into it but have gotten mixed opinions on the subject.

Anyone have experience with both of these options ? My cars color is Metallic Steel Gray (dark color).

The car is new (Got it a week ago) but from what I gathered claying is still recommended as the car may have picked up things while sitting at the lot etc. I heard that clay can mar the paint if not done right with enough lube etc. If this were to happen how can I fix it ? Also is there any safer way of achieving the same effect without using clay?

The two clays I've seen mentioned many times on threads are Sonus, Clay Magic, and BH soft clay. Are these good ? Is there anything else that's recommended ?

Part of the pre-wash snow foam is a recommendation. Is there any point in using it without a power washer ? If so what can it be used with ?

One last question is there anything wax is a no-no on ? Besides plastic surfaces ?

I apologize for this getting so long... Any help on any of this is greatly appreciated :thx.
