I really like the second and third picture. It's pretty amazing the accord is still beading like that after two years.

Mind you the Accord doesn't get driven much but it's still been through 2 winters, but yeah it is impressive that it hasn't completely fallen off.

Cool shots. I'm guessing the Accord didn't get wash much either.

It get's wiped down by my grandfather everyday. He's set in his ways unfortunately but at 84 I can't blame him for not being more active. lol

Haha, tell me about it. My grandfather enjoys his long handled brush for frequent washes. Easier reaching than with a mitt I suppose.

Hate to be a party pooper, but that Accord is not "beading" in any way that something with wax would. That's just what water will do on paint with nothing there.

Notice how the part of the "beads" touching the paint expands out at the base, rather than sucking in, as if there were a truly spherical shape resting on it? That's because it isn't being pushed up, or held together from wax.

The X3 has nothing left either.

That was the purpose of my thread..... showing a well prepped finish(Cobalt) and comparing it to something that hasn't been touched in 2 years and a garbage wax.

bla bla bla - I'm not stupid.

Well, call me a party-pooper too. Don't take this the wrong way, I don't know what Midnight Sun is, but IMO those beads aren't that great for 2 weeks old. I have several LSP's which would have rounder, tighter beads than that at 2 weeks or longer.

Hahah man way to burst this guys bubble. You guys are grumps ;) ....... Midnight Sun is made by blackfire I believe.

Anyways, that x3 is crazy. Only november and theres not a trace of anything left at all

Oh, ok... I guess what confused me was the fact that you listed the LSP at all... :nixweiss

Thanks for the pics. I think I'm a little too obsessed. I like watching other cars bead especially at the parking lot at work and seeing who takes care of their vehicle and seeing the different beading characteristics and also how they shine when it has not rained.

Just too obsessed :)

But I enjoy it.

Plus I've asked some people what they've used so I can see what the beading characteristics are.
