Soft water or tap water.

My tap water from the hose is hard and I have to fight water spots constantly. I have a whole house water softener and am leaning to add a extra bib tapped into the soft water system.
Is soft water better or will I be trading one set of problems for another. I could possibly add a filter downstream of the softwater bib as well to increase the filtration. Just didnt know if I should start with soft water if I have the option before I do any other type filters.
Thoughts??
 
I think soft water is better. It help me a lot. I like it since you need less soap, cleans better, and less chance of hard mineral spots,
