myall00: Hehe, I think you're getting the posts mixed up. I'm the one who mentioned the applicators and CarKrazy was the one posted the Hard wax pics.
NXT costs around US$23 here... The local distributor jacks up everything. Hopefully True Value can bring them in closer to $15.
LeftTurn: I see a lot of the compounds and polishes here locally, but I've got so much gallons of EO/Meg/Menz stuff that I never tried their polishes. They actually have a 3000grit and 5000grit polish available... Makes it easy to gauge after sanding as to which compound/polish to use.
The weather was good today and I managed to detail the car.
Applied Meguairs Deep Crystal Polish followed by a coat of Soft99 EXTRA hard paste wax with my orbital.
This product is a pure wax which does not contain any cleaners or abrasives. Its a hard wax and rubbing the applicator on the surface to generate some heat helps. The wax will soften and it will be much easier to apply the product.
The wax goes on easily and spreads well. If you apply too much or let it sit for too long, you better have arms like Jean Claude Van Damme to get it off. I buffed it off with a 100% cotton towel and was happy with the results, it left the paint slick and the shine was good.
Here are some pics, will post more tomorrow as its late now.
