Socal detail trip....Z06, SS, and Z28

I recently did a detail trip to socal and took care of a few members down there from a GM performance message board. There was originally going to be more cars, but several people flaked, so I decided to turn it into a working vacation. Got to hang out with a friend and visit my ex (we're still good friends), so it was definitely a fun trip! Also made a connection thats gonna get me special access to see the Space Shuttle lift off next month!!! Woot!!!!

You may remember this car from this thread a little while back: http://www.autopia.org/forum/pro-de...8-got-full-wetsand-buff-~50hrs-pic-heavy.html

I did a full wetsand on a new paintjob on that car. Unfortunately it got nailed by hard water sprinklers just a few weeks later and baked in the sun. Since there is no product that can prevent water spots, it needed to be corrected out. So I met up with Elvis (owner) and did some light correction work to bring it back to where it should be. And this time I got a bunch of sunlight pics too!!!

Here is part 2 of my detail trip to socal. This sweet Z06 is owned by an Air Force Captain. This Z was in great shape with the exception of some moderate swirl marks. He opted for a 1 step correction and it came out pretty well, about 70% correction of the swirls. Finished off with Blackfire Wet Diamond.

Here is part 3 of my detail trip to socal. Same owner as the Z06. This car was previously owned by SPECIALIZED STAINLESS, a former sponsor on LS1tech. If you frequent that forum, you might remember the build of this car here: **Specialized Stainless Camaro Build** - LS1TECH

Unfortunately the car was in very poor shape. It had excessive contamination buildup and oxidation was starting as well. It looked good from 20 ft, but any closer than that and it started showing its age. So it was my job to make it look beautiful again. The contamination is hard to photograph, and it was WAY worse in person but I think I got some good descriptive pics of it. Took about 4 hours to clay all the contaminents off. Afterwards it was followed with 1 step correction to bring some life and gloss back to the paint while cutting out the majority of swirls as well. After a good 10+ hours of work this SS was back to looking good again. Onto the pics...
