Nah I don't think you are being the negative one Brandon... most others are however.



Geesh cut the man some slack. While the idea is way out in left field and I agree that it won't work I am more than willing to let someone else try it. I've seen crazier things mentioned before without anyone jumping at someones throat.



Let's keep the friendly nature of this site around... it's one of the many reasons Autopia is more enjoyable than other sites.

Yeah, that is what I thought. Nearly all of autopia is nice a friendly, but this has to be one of the "rudest" thread I have read in a while.:bat



I agree with others, I dont think it will work myself, but I will refrain from any "smart" or "rude" comments.
 
i just read through everyone's posts a second time and i don't think anyone wrote anything disrespectful at all. Just a bit of sarcasm. Healthy sarcasm with a good amount of technical info in there too!

How about using the palm of your hand and some KY lube! Or even a real detailing clay bar and KY! Astroglide?
 
If you're really looking for a cheap alternative, I remember reading on here once where someone talked about using the modable clay you can buy in little bars at the hobby/craft store. That seems much more likely to do the job than a bar of soap. I'd definitely try it on a beater first.

Well, I still think that he asked for answers and not sarcasm either. It's stupid and childish.
 
Agreed, this forum is for information, not jabs at the other. No one here started out knowing EVERYTHING like so many people on here think they do. I have gained TONS of valuable information from here that I will forever use on my cars. Negativity is not cool, I have left several forums because of it. Lets keep it chill in here and learn from one another. PS, if you use soap, use dial cuz that smell is the *H*T!!
