So what is the best combo for a wet silver look?

I miss my 03 Cobra......
Well I recently posted that I was getting a 2004 Civic. Well I ditched that idea, and got a 2002 Nissan Altima. Anyways, it is the ever difficult silver. Anyways, I just did a quick detail on it the other day to get some protection on it. But I was wondering what would be a great combo for a very wet look. Not so much looking for protection, but pure wetness. I was sondering if something like AIO might be a great first step. Looking for any suggestions I can get, here are some pics of my first quicky on it!! Also, I just picked up some S100, I only got to apply it to the hood, looks pretty good to me!! Feel free to post pics if possible!!

Why did you get rid of the Cobra---They are badd *** cars straight from the factory!!! Just about got me one, but didnt



Best on silver, Im trying to decide on that too? I just keep reading and reading, at some point I will buy something soon:D
 
Try this next time. I think you might like it:



SSR1 by rotary or PC

VM by hand

EX-P or

EX-P topped with #16 or

EX-P topped with Natty's



These will help give you a nice clear, wet look
 
I think the Klasse twins look great on silver. Top with Nattys or #16 from everything I have read (I will be trying both products soon).

Two choices on carnauba (I hear Zaino is great for a synthetic):



1. GEPC followed by S100/P21S. My normal routine.



2. Pinnacle Paint Cleansing Lotion followed by Pinnacle Paste Glaz.



Either works great on silver metallic.

Nice choice in color, that the same as I have!



After reading mondo amount of info, Im going to try 4*UPC/UPP/UGE combo to see how that comes out. Still undecided if I should get some AIO and and slap a coat of that on there as well.

Obviously a person of great style and taste. :) I love how this silver is different from most on the road and how it sparkles in direct sun.



I really think the P21S wax and GEPC are terrific. My car shines better than the day I bought it. I've used the Paste Glaz and really like it and it is my go-to wax for the wife's car which is gold metallic.



Both of these waxes are very easy to apply and wipe off which makes periodic waxing all the better.
 
I have a silver car also and was told by a few respected people here to try the Pinnacle Paste glaz. They say the Paste glaz is great on white and silver & the Souveran on dark colors. I think I'm going to orer the Paste glaz soon for the silver.
 
Congrats on the new car...it looks great! Honestly the SSR2.5, VM, EX-P is a great combo, and one of my faves. Maybe multiple coats of EX-P followed up with some Natty's will enhance the look.

just be aware, you'll get about a week out of it until that slickness evaporates (or is washed) away. Long term durability is pretty decent for a hi end carnauba of this sort.
 
Two suggestions (assuming proper paint prep).



Same car, sorry the lighting isn't the same though.

Yes, Millennium Silver Metallic, is one of the nicest silvers out on the road. When I first got my car I didn't notice the difference until after actually seeing a comparison one day when my car was parked by other silver cars from different manufacturers in the parking lot.



I actually like the look of NXT x2 (12-24 hours between coats) on my silver car. I topped the trunk with S100 and thought it looked a little wetter but it softened the reflections a tiny bit. I've decided to stick with just NXT as an LSP for now but I'm sure I'll revisit the S100 as a topper in the future.

This is basically how I feel. I have a Millennium Silver Toyota 4Runner. I have used Klasse, UPP, NXT, and Wolfgang. For me, believe it or not, NXT is the most reflective followed by UPP.



I have even thought of topping NXT but I just like the look of it by itself on silver.



UPP is so easy to use and does leave the surface along slicker than NXT. Who knows...I might give S100 as a topper try to see how that adds to the mix
 
I did not get as good a result with NXT but I may try it again. Anyhow NXT did look good on my wife's gold Camry.

Beautiful Z8! I have yet to try the VM/EX-P combo but I am getting tempted. :)
