So what exactly are all of the things you can use #0000 for

It seems to me that #0000 Steel Wool is becoming a huge necessity in a lot of detailers closets. I have read posts saying you can use it on your leather seats, all the way to use it with window cleaner to clean your windows!

I guess what im getting at what else do YOU use steel fool for?

I use it to clean off the interior door handles and stubborn vinyl. I've found that you have to be careful though, you can scrub too hard. But if you do it just right, it looks great.

Anyone else use the steel wool for anything? Brushed Exhust tips? Engine bay?

When using them on the interior do you also use them on door panels and such?

You can use it only on the outside glass with window cleaner. I would not use it on leather unless you were purposely trying to remove the dye. As far as brushed exhaust tips, rolite makes good polish for aluminum. In my opinion, steel wool is not a necessity for a detailer. If it works for you, go for it.

#0000 Steel Wool Uses:

-To scrub white walls on tires accompanied with a tire/wheel cleaner
-To polish glass using a glass, paint, or metal polish
-To polish abused exhaust using a metal polish

Sean,

Thanks for the help... What Metal polishes do you recomend... I know that you can use PP to polish just about anything do you think this would work?

Metal Polishes:

-Vanilla Moose for the low cut, ultimate shine
-Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish for a medium cut, high shine
-No.7 Chrome Polish for heavy cut, medium shine

I have used 0000 Wool on leather w/an interior cleaner and have not removed dye. I followed the cleaning with Lexol Leather conditioner.

I have also used the wool on the interior panels and doors. I really like the wool!
