Anyone else hear anything about this? I wonder what this will mean for all of us using PCs, and/or with Meguiar's and their G100?

I sent a buddy of mine over to Lowe's earlier because he wanted to pick up a 7336SP, and that's what he was told there. :(
 
Jeez, am I behind the times!! I can't believe I never caught wind of that on here or Autopia back then!! Thanks, Norah.

I guess I was surprised by it because apparently, Lowe's no longer carries PC... and the B&D buyout was cited as the reason for it. So there goes the local source for a $109 7336SP. Hopefully that doesn't mean the machine will be going off the market completely! :(
 
Isn't Porter Cable together with Makita? There is a porter cable dealer near me and right next to it (actually attached) is the Makita dealer. If they are together, I'd assume B&D would be taking over Makita as well. Maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about, and if I don't feel free to tell me.
 
Did a quick search. Looks like Makita is still a Japanese company with 30+ subsidiaries. Maybe your store is together because the "owner" has license agreements with both companies?
