Snowmobile adventures

Getting antsy for the season to get here. Finally going through GoPro clips I`ve got from our trip to Munising, MI in 2015 to make a video. These ice formations on Grand Island are incredible. Probably 75+ feet tall in some spots and have a lot of really cool colors in them from the minerals in the ground:

Cool (pun intended) vid. Especially when it`s 90 out

Couldn`t get him to give me a good smile though lol. Can`t wait till he`s old enough to start riding

There`s just something so relaxing about hangin in the garage wrenchin on the sled with some rum and coke after a long work week.

Looks like the northwoods are getting dumped on!!! Woot woot! Possible 6-9 in my neck of the woods this weekend. Trails here don`t open till the 15th....might have to bang some ditches lol

Getting geared up waiting for my brother in law to get here to go ride. Wind chills are supposed to be -20 to -30 later. You sure you don`t wanna come up and go ride Ron?

I know this is an older thread but it came up in a search as I`m gonna have to get my sled out here in a month or two and I always like to clean it up. It is always best to see if anyone else is interested in it and if they have any tricks to keep things clean.

Our riding out west we sometimes get into some tight spots and ya get scratches and I was wondering if anyone ever tried polishing any of it out. I`ve thought about some Platic-X and give it a try. I polished the tunnel two years ago and with some light cleaning it comes back pretty nice.

The other addition I`ve thought about doing is waxing the underside of the tunnel as it builds up with snow so bad and the heat exchangers seem to melt the top and ya end up with 60lbs of ice underneath. The Nytro is terrible for that.

Happy riding.

Those pictures kinda make me "homesick" for my XLT triple. Had a lot of great rides in the late 90`s and sold our sleds in 2005 after the low snowfall years. I still read snow reports from my friends as I spend my winters now in Scottsdale polishing my cars instead of washing salt off them.

Added a new (to us) Cat to the stable. Picked up an 07 Arctic Cat F8 for the wifey tonight. Thing is in great shape and already has a 2 up seat added on which is awesome since we`re getting the kiddos out this year

God bless used markets. So far I`ve gotten my daughter an HJC Helmet, a Castle X jacket, and Arctiva bibs all for less than $100 total
