Sneak Preview: 2009 ZR-1 Corvette in Cyber Gray

that is one nice ZR1 .. my neighbor is thinking about getting one

i love the single car flatbed with the covering

Congrats on getting that job, it feels good when someone thinks so highly of your work to fly you in and work on their brand new car. I will be waiting for the afters.

Nice Corvette, but WOW, $150K? That's expensive for a Chevy!

Also, don't think I've ever been to a Chevy/Maserati/Lamborghini dealership.

Let's see, should I get a Cobalt or a Gallardo today?

:)

Cauley's good people, doesn't surprise me how they delivered the car just like the customer wanted. He's turned my oldest into a Corvette fan at 12 years old; every time we go to Grattan my boy gets a Corvette hat or shirt or something from Cauley. Good driver too.

Can't wait to see the afters!

Somebody is paying a lot of mark up. The car is 103k and you can get a 10k option package for the interior and chrome wheels are another option, which he didn't get. Fully loaded with every available option including Museum Delivery, it's 117k.

Thanks for everyones great comments. I'm looking forward to flying up to Michigan Jan 30th to do it that weekend.

A) A donut in the snow

B) A burnout

Thanks in advance ;)

I think that's what the crazy detailers in Canada do with exotics. :ca I'll try talking my client into breaking it in that way.....:rofl

I know exactly where that dealership is! I've been by there on several trips to Detroit. I remember several years ago they had a yellow Enzo inside. :wow:

Yup, that was the X-Red Wing Sergei Fedorov's car.

$150K for that? :ignore

Someone must have been confused about which dealership they were in.

Price hike by osmosis.

FYI: I believe the owner was able to pay sticker for this one and the only option it doesn't have is the $2000 chrome wheels. Sticker price was just under $117 (I think his out the door price was ~$124K ?). Keep in mind that not too many dealers are selling these cars at sticker without a "market adjustment". You almost need to be a GM exec or the dealer principal to get it below that. They've only produced 610 ZR-1s and Bowling Green is shut down until March and might not re-open until the 2010 model comes out.

You must be back by now. How'd it go? Where are the pictures?

Flew back last night. Awsome car! I loved every minute of this job. As soon as I get time to upload the pictures, I'll do a post.
