I have the absolute pleasure of being allowed the chance to service one of my long time client’s brand new 2009 Chevy Corvette ZR-1 (#581) in beautiful Cyber Gray. This is actually a client from my detail shop days back in Michigan and he offered to fly me up to Michigan just to prep his brand new car. I urged him NOT to allow the dealer to lay 1 finger on his vehicle and to only perform the necessary mechanical prep work needed. The dealer (Cauley Chevrolet/Maserati/Ferarri) understood and offered to deliver the vehicle in an enclosed trailer directly to his home with all the shipping plastic & decals still left on the car. I’ll be in town for an entire weekend later this month to make sure his car is 100% prepped to perfection. I’m planning on spending multiple hours final polishing , sealing & protecting every possible square inch of surface to make sure this classic gets a proper start at life. I can’t wait and will do a full write after……..

Great day to take delivery of a $150,000 car! The Metro Detroit area just got blasted with 1 ½ feet of snow.

It's great to see a brand new car getting such a fine start on life! Even better to see a car owner that understands and appreciates that concept as well. We're just improving upon the original platform.

I tell customers that it's like buying that brand new expensive plasma/LCD TV. Sure it will look good, but if you want to extract that last 10-15% out of it, you need to have it ISF calibrated...only then will you know that it looks as best as it possibly can.

We look forward to the writeup David...

I dislike how the steering wheel is the same as in a G6. Then again, its a pretty great design.

SAME HERE! That is my biggest complaint with all the Vettes.

David - Congrats on landing that job. I'm sure it'll look fantastic when you are done. That is one of my favorite colors. Have fun with it!

A Chevrolet, Maserati, and Ferrari Dealership all in one! Grab grandma a Malibu and don't forget you're 599!

I know exactly where that dealership is! I've been by there on several trips to Detroit. I remember several years ago they had a yellow Enzo inside. :wow:

This will be a great write up, thats the perfect color too:cool:

BTW no center caps on the drivers side wheels:nixweiss

Im sure the Corvette shares much more than that with Chevy's cheaper offerings...
