SMR and Zaino

I am about to purchase my first PC. I need to remove some minor swirls from the black roof of my MINI COOPER S.



I plan to purchase meguiars swirl remover 2.0 and then adding a few coats of Zaino z2. Will there be any issues with Zanio adhering to the meguiars? If so, what swirl remover would you suggest instead?



Also is it recommended to use a pre-wax cleaner before using meguiars?

I would purchase some Poorboy's SSR 2 or 2.5. www.motorcitypoorboys.com or www.specialtymotoring.com



If you clay before polishing, you'll be fine.



Zaino will not have problems bonding after Poorboy's...I'm not certain abou the Meguiar's.

I would think that if you did an alcohol wipe, it would remove any potential problem for Zaino.

An alcohol wipe, a z7 wash, or AIO as a base for the Z will alleviate the potential bonding problem.

I will probably do a wash with z7. That sounds simple enough.



By the way is it recommended to use a pre-wax cleaner before using the meguires SMR

But will it wash away the filling of SMR too?

The SMR is supposed to remove the swirls (uless it's 3m ) - aio/alcohol or any chemical cleaner will remove any fillers.
