smirking neighbours

Well, I got back from driving around last night, and the truck was covered in mud. The neighbour comes over, " Hey I don't think you need to wash that thing. It is perfectly clean." While there are 5x5 inch chunks of mud all over it.



I was like " OK there, I think you're blind sir." He was like" well I am not blind, I really think you shouldn't even bother washing that."



Now this guy is a down right hard ***, and I can't stand him. I think I was about to knock him out after that conversation.



Some of these neightbours are really stupid.
 
Most of my neighbors think I'm eccentric/mad/subnormal, but harmless. :p



I find it quite fun to receive their "Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening" along with that "understanding" smile. ;)



I think the give-and-take is great; I amuse them and they amuse me (in a friendly way). :)



Hey! Wouldn't life be boring if we were all the same? :sosad
 
I'm starting to get that self conscious feeling too that my neighbors think I'm nuts because I wash and detail my truck a lot. They'll never understand why I do it and why I'm obsessed with cleaning a vehicle. When I was QDing my neighbor said, "It's gonna rain anyway!" Then I said,"I know. It's ok".

I think i have the shiniest truck on the block anyway and thats a great feeling and thats all that matters to me.
 
You know what really pisses me off is when the neighbour decides to water the grass. There's this vertical strip of grass between our driveways. She always ends up spraying the side of my car with her hose. I feel like this :grrr but have to look like this :dance in order to maintain good neighbourly relations. Always seems to happen after I give my car a good wash. So I patiently wait for her to get her carcass back in the house and pray I get my towel out in time to dry off the car.



I could do it right away but I feel pretty stupid sitting there with a towel ready to wipe everytime she aims her hose my way. She figures watering the lawn is more important than water stains on my car.:nono
