Smart Stuff

Welcome to the club.

Very good products that are formulated entirely differently than the other CG line up.

Pm me if interested in trying some of the product line.

Justed looked through the smart- site. Looks interesting and I'm anxiously awaiting the reviews.

One thing that caught my eye was their MF's, a clip from their MF description is below. I don't claim to be a MF expert :rofl , but I find the strand width/size hard to believe.

"Smarttowelâ„¢ - .....One single strand of Smarttowel Microfiber is 10 times finer than silk and 100 times thinner than a human hair"

So, has anyone tried their MF's?

Warner chemical makes for chemical guys and I believe Smartwax. Warner offers custom blending allowing for differnt ingredients and higher or lower amounts of expensive ingredients such as carnauba. I am pretty sure Smartwax is a custom blend with higher quality additives.

SmartWax is directed toward dealers and other specialty stores. It is not something to be found in a average parts store for a reason. All of the products are different than CGs line, they are all formulated with ease of use and highest quality in mind. It is for the average Joe that has a nice car and wants to keep it up with only the best. The packaging is also to get people to just wanna buy it (impulse buying). Its an exclusive product that will only be found at exclusive places. Everything about SmartWax screems image. They really are great products too. I will be able to answer questions more in depth soon... I have recently (last couple days) become their NorCal Sales Rep and still have some more to learn about the product. I will only be representing them and not selling anything directly, going dealer to dealer and specialty store to specialty store sellling them the stuff to resell.

Are you a dealer or distributor Pontman ?

From the way you describe it, it appears you are a dealer (associate rep) for Paul.

Please clarify. Feel free to pm me

I'm a dealer (rep) for SmartWax and a distributor for his CGs line.

SilverLexus, the prices on the site are so the distributors dont get undercut and lose sales, also to make them feel like they are getting an even better deal.

BTW I used SmartWax on about 4 cars today, all different colors and it darkens and deepens the paint. Also in direct sun on a black car its no prob. Really good stuff IMO.

If that's a concern, why have an onine store at all then? It seems these prices will scare off most retail prospects...

Its for the image of the company and something the buyers of SmartWax can go and look into. Retailers cost is less, so it doesn't scare them off and their retail price is less too. Take your Lexus, what if the sticker on that was $10K more than the dealer offered it to you for, would that not make it look like a good deal? If their site was as much or less than retailers, then it could and probably would take business away. SpoiledMan is right too. But if you compare prices to other high end waxes, it really isn't that bad. The SmartWax line isn't really geared toward people like us, it more toward the average Joe that likes to take care of his car, but doesn't know everything about detailing.

I guess I was just thinking SmartWax could price the product for the consumer with enough retail margin for the vendor and distributor and let the distributor discount slightly more if they want. That way the distributor is happy and the consumer gets a decent online price as well. Perhaps they could carve out different territories such as geography or channel for the distributors and just keep the online channel for themselves.

They keep the prices higher on the ******** website to encourage consumers to buy from retail outlets. Speaking to them they said soon they will not sell online. If you look on their site for retailers the prices are alot more real. ******** does not want to sell reatil they want to sell wholesale.
