Smart Detailing University.....

Hey gang, Just did my first order from Chemical Guys last night and was really impressed with their website. What caught my eye was the section for the "Smart Detailing University", really got me interested! Wondering, any of you ever attended and how was it? I look forward to attending sometime.

Really? I think their website is vague, disorganized, and ratings are not truthful (they delete negative comments).

Their products are good value though... At least the ones that work.

I didn't attend, but with school of hard knocks from old timers I learn the hard way. Yes they do have some great products to use.

But with the internet these days, it has become easy to read up and see video's before you try it. That's a plus in my book. Remember to always start on a DD and take it slow.

Thanks Zoom, I guess I've been on track since that's what I've been up to! Both my rides are DD that I enjoy trying to detail so they mimic the look of show cars.:inspector::bigups

Just keep at it and you will be surprise at when you accomplished. That's how we all learn and got better at it over the long term.

Yes, forget products and what everyone tells you on forums/internet. You need to get to a certain level to discern differences. Detail, again and again. Find something that looks better from another Pro and replicate.

Totally agree. Take every review with a grain of salt and do your own tests. Find something that works for you and stick with it. Don't buy all the hyped products when they come out.

I totally agree with the above statements....I have a few great products and I keep my "Technique" the same and proper. I good friend who does exotic cars told me not to get caught up in the product blitz and use what works for me.
