small scratches on SGed car

I recently found new scratches on my GN. Is it ok to apply a scratch remover over an SGed car that has scratches and reapply?



I also applied denatured alcohol on some sap a while ago and it dulled the paint. Good thing it was a very small spot. Should I just AIO the area or use Meguiars #9 then AIO?
 
Join the club. My knucklehead friend put some light fingermark scratches on my fender when he decided to seal an envelope on it. :mad: I'm hoping it's just in the SG and will buff out.



When I got a scratch about a month ago, I used Scratch-X as best I could and (IIRC) I used AIO before SG just for peace of mind. SG only might work, but given that scratch removers have fillers in them I decided not to.



Try AIO only on the dull spot and see what happens. Someone (sorry forget who) used AIO with a PC to do some serious paint revival a couple weeks ago and it turned out great.
 
Yeah I tried the Scratch X on what i thought were hairline scratches. applied it with some pressure. After all the effort the scratches were still visible. Guess the only way to remove it is by machine but i can't get into that right now. Then I applied aIo on the scratch to polish it up. Then topped it off with UPP and it came out perfectly polished but with the scratchess somewhat visible. I wish I could have gotten those small scratches out:(
