SLR Camera Purched!!!

First off I want to thank all the people that responded to my query about digital cameras. The wealth of information recieved helped me make a decision thru some very informative sites. Had done a search for cameras prior to asking but the sites that were recommended gave a wealth of information a whole lot quicker than my feeble attempts to gain information off the web.

Thanks DC :rockon

After many hours of searching and decision making I decided on this camera. This is a Konica Minolta Z3.

I believe that it will suit my needs. I know it suits my pocketbook. Even though there are better cameras out there this camera has the most bang for the buck. With all the particulars that I was interested in, less the interchangeable lenses that were of great import to me. Bought to many detailing supplies and stainless steele add on's this year to justify a 500 to 700 dollar SLR with inter-changeable lenses.

It should be a great camera to capture my trip to Alaska and the on going tests that I have on the Black truck. I hope to have the camera on Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

OH BOY!!! Another UPS delivery!!!

Congrats on the camera purchase, although its a P+S "prosumer" not an SLR. :)

I looked at the camera when I was shopping for mine, it was a tad over my budget, but was very nice. The zoom is great and you'll love the AS (Anti-Shake) feature, plus the 4MP should suit you well. Looking forward to seeing some pictures with it.

I stand corrected.

The good points you mentioned were the very one's that brought me to the decision to purchase this particular camera. I will upgrade to a SLR in the future then. Thanks!!!
