Six Products

Not sure who it was, perhaps Barry, that mentioned you only really need six products for detailing. Assuming chemicals not media, what are your six?

Me:

ONR

Megs APC+

Clay Magic

303

UNO

ZAIO

Car wash soap

APC

rubber/vinyl dressing

window cleaner

spray detail wax

Oh well, that's 5. My bare essentials.

Category first - product selection second (my *current* favourite)

Shampoo - FK118

Clay - any fine one

Polish - PO203S

Wax - S100 carnauba

QD - DG591

Everything else (?) - 303

Here is my list:

Wash - Optimum Car Wash or ONR

APC - Optimum Power Clean

Detail Spray - FK425

Clay

Glass Cleaner Stoner's

Wax Sealant - BFWD or KAIO or FK1000P

6 products/types:

Car wash shampoo - Duragloss 901

Clay

APC - Zep Citrus

Dressing - Armor All

Polish - Menzerna 106FF/FA

LSP - Does not matter too much

SIX? Heck, this is just one of my cabinets. I have 4 others. Oh the agony. This is America. We demand variety!

Ok, I do have this kit in a couple of my cars. More than 6 but I thrive on overkill. :)

Brad B.--King of Labels! :xyxthumbs I've had a hard time finding decent cabinets like that, which I'd like to upgrade to; let alone those dividers you have you products in!

6 products... hmm, need to think them about them. Let me start with these: :P

- HD UNO

- HD Free

- HD total

- Mothers Reflections Tire care

- Mothers Reflections advanced car wax

Brad's travel kit looks killer. My travel kit contains decent stuff, but I realized you can get away with only 2 of them: HD total, and HD Free HD Free can handle almost anything, and leaves a decent shine. For those cases where HD Free won't cut it, you got the HD Total :P

However, like a good autopian, I have also vinyl dress, quick detail, etc ;)

Here is mine

ONR, and ONR mixed for QD and clay

HD Uno

Clay

Stoners indvisible glass

Turtle was ice total interior

Megs Ultimate wax , and ultimate wax spray

I'm with Brad B. on this one!

Maybe Barry can get by just fine with six products, but I'm no Barry Theal :chuckle:

I'd use up my six with just the three clays and three QDs that I'd hate to be without...or is that more like four QDs  Yeah, four...so with clay, QD, and my carwash I'm already at eight.

C'mon, I know you could do it if you had to. Coming from someone that has 30+ LSPs, its not easy, but if I had to travel light, I've got my six!

Well, I could live on Meal Replacement shakes and tap water if I had to too ;) Not exatly optimal though :chuckle:

OK:

-Griot's Car Wash

-Somebody's clay (preferably the hard-to-find Smart Clay)

-P21s Total Auto Wash

-UNO for the polish (that's kinda a wild guess, but it oughta fill a lot of niches)

-Collinite 845

-Z16

But Oh Man! would I like to also have something like KAIO and some QD like SpeedShine.

No, *I* wouldn't want to just say ONR for washing/clay lube/QD, but that's just me.
