Sit-on creeper at Harbor Freight Tools

For many months I have been eyeing a sit-on creeper in the Griot's garage catalog. I almost ordered it last week, but for the $45 I would have spent on that decided to wait and get a Pinnacle Clay Cleaning kit from CMA instead, for less $.

Then this morning I decided to check out the new Harbor Freight Tools store in my neighborhood. To my surprise they also have a sit-on creeper. Doesn't have the tool tray underneath like Griot's, but it is only $12.95 ! Very comfortable, wide seat, and also folds after use (like a tv tray). 300 lbs capacity too, and is sturdy.

I decided to get it, and got a pleasant surprise when I took it to the checkout: it rang up as $8.50 ! How could I say no?!!!

The only thing I don't like is that it has big nuts that stick out on the sides - I am just going to put some silicone or some sort of rubber coating on those just in case I get too close to the car with it! But for 8 bucks I think it will be great for detailing, and save my back!

Wow! Great price! We've been looking at creepers, too. I think Northern Tool has a deal right now where you get a floor creeper and a padded roller seat for $24.95, but the website shows it backordered.

I'm hoping to get to Atlanta to see if they have this in their store.

They also had a sit on creeper with a pneumatic adjustment (looks like the Griots one, round red stool). It was listed as $24.95 but might be less!

Mine has a red seat too, but is square and lots bigger (which I prefer)!

And boy is it cushy! Has four heavy duty casters on it.:)

You can see it by going to www.harborfreight.com and typing in Item #44061 in the search by item #.

Not too sure about the US but here in Canada our Costco has been stocking regular creeper and a sit on pneumatic creeper with a tray as well for about a year now.

I may buy one and post pics.

They don't go low enough to make me happy - I've been looking at pneumatic stools and cheap student chairs instead. I found the perfect stool on rollers at Staples, but it's $80! :(

Of course the tray on the Costco seat is nice though...
