Since I gotta buffer...

Look for my other post why, but I am in a MUST BUFF CAR base right now.

Since I must, I think I will try a new product. I did the last buff session with 3M machine polish followed with 3M SMR and was pleased with the results. This time I think I will go for this routine:

1) Wash

2) DACP

3) Protectant, not sure on this yet, either SG or NXT

MY QUESTION: Through my reading on my search I couldnt for the life of me determine if another final polish is needed after DACP. The way I understood it is that it starts off as a strong polish and breaks down to a finer polish in and of itself, which is what makes it rather unique. So am I on target? How about it, do I go from DACP right to the protectant or not?

I would suggest the following steps

1) wash

2) clay, unless it was done in the last week or 2

3) DACP

4) Menzerna FP

5) AIO

6) SG x 3 at minimum 24 hours apart (depends on temp & humidity) - Use BillNorth method

7) UPP x 3 at minimum 24 hours apart (depends on temp & humidity)

There, see, you now have at leas 8 days work ahead of you.....

Toward the end of December, I went 'all out' on my Millenium yellow Cavalier. I started with DACP & polishing pad, followed by Megs Swirl Free Polish #82 & PP, (both at '6' on the PC) finally I used #7 Show Car Glaze then Megs #20 Polymer Sealant, both with a finishing pad on a 3.5 setting. Here are the results
