Simple Green to clean applicators and pads

I used Simple Green today to clean my applicators and pads.

It is far superior to Dawn and laundry detergent.

It cleaned the wax out on the first try without soaking. I find that the other methods of cleaning tend to create a slimy mess which take loads and loads of water to rinse fully out and leaves them clean but still a little stained.

The Simple Green is obviously a thin liquid that saturates the applicators and eats the wax right up and rinses them fully clean without having to use loads of water.

I just misted everything with full strength Simple Green and massaged them with my hand working in the solution. I then ran under cool water, massged a little more and then rinsed. All traces including the smell and stains were removed.

I was amazed and glad since I hate cleaning my pads and applicators. Try it, you'll see. It is very easy.

Thanks for the tip.

Just today I used some of the green on my wheel mit and noticed its cleaning abilities work on the mit also.

Applications for this stuff is countless!

Yep, Simple Green is very cool and a thousand and one uses and counting.

I fill up a tub with hot water, add some SG and toss in my buffing pads and applicators and just let them soak while Calgon takes me away and my wife rubs my feet (Yeah right!)

The one thing I don't use SG on is carpets or upholstrey. It can foam up like crazy and I always feel as though it left a residue.

I've used Simple Green on MFs to good effect, also on foam applicators and PC pads. I've also used Lysol on PC pads, it works very well, better than Simple Green IMO.

:doh

Thanks for this tip Spilchy. I have Simple Green too, but never thought about using it full strength on some of my dirtier items! :o

Doesn't it smell like sasparilla afterwards instead of wax? :lol

EDIT: I'd just like to remind anyone who wants to use SG as a pre-soak to rinse it out really well before throwing it in the washing machine. As Anthony said, this stuff foams up like CRAZY!
